RLS Remedies

As you probably already know there are no cures for RLS. Although many doctors do agree there are ways to make minimize the symptoms you do have.

Some doctors feel low levels of iron and or magnesium are two of the reason for RLS so you may want to take with you doctor about your diet specifically increasing your intake of red meat or the addition of an iron supplements to you diet. To help with low magnesium levels you may want to start eating more black beans and navy beans as well as salmon. It has also been said that increasing your intake or green leafy vegetables can help RLS. Doctors also highly recommended that people who suffer from restless leg syndrome limit or if possible eliminate their intake of alcohol, cigarettes and caffeine.

There are so many other RLS remedies to try, some of these remedies are categorized as low or no risk, which basically means you should not have any side effects from trying these remedies.

· Take a hot or cold bath/shower,

· Light exercise (The best time is right before bedtime)

· Greater intake of high iron foods

· Greater intake of vitamin C (this will help your body absorb the iron)

· Various mental activities like reading, cross stitching or a puzzle.
